Leave benefits and working hours are better than those prescribed in the Basic Conditions of Employment Act. Sunspray contributes 50% of the contributions to the Company Provident Fund and over and above this, pays the premiums for life insurance, permanent health disabilities and funeral benefits for all employees.

The company also contributes 50% of medical aid levies for those employees who wish to be covered by Medical Aid. Sunspray has clinics for both sites from which the Occupational Health Service is run.

Further education is encouraged and apart from SETA approved training which is undertaken regularly, the company finances employees striving to obtain additional appropriate academic qualifications. The company has also accelerated the implementation of employed, unemployed learnerships and internships.
